Students discussed defining words within their context. We read the story, "Two Days With No Phone" and talked about the vocabulary that was in the story. Students completed an example defining map as a class. See the class products below. Students then began their own defining maps of the remaining four words that are in the story at the bottom of the front page.
HOMEWORK: Begin Unit 3 Week 1 vocab. If you received < 89 on Unit 2 test, complete the worksheet below and turn it in tomorrow to raise the test grade.

Students listened to the story "Two Days With No Phone" aloud in class. They then completed a Textual Evidence game based on the story. Students were given time to finish their four defining maps from yesterday.
