Students worked in the computer lab and took a "snapshot" on Edmodo.com of their current status on the standards of citing textual evidence and writing for a clear purpose.

Tues 10/21/14
Students worked in the computer lab using the app "NoRedInk" on Edmodo.com. Students revisited their rules for capitalization and revised their knowledge on quotation marks. If finished early, students read a scholastic magazine online and completed the accompanying activities.

Wed 10/22/14 - Early Out (Beginning of Quarter 2)
Students were given back all of their graded work form Quarter 1 to bring home. Students completed an Everyday Edit. They then went over the instructions for the assignment we will be working on the next two days. Students read a sample narrative aloud on the topic: If you could for one day, would you rather be a pirate or a ninja?

Thurs 10/23/14
Students began composing their narrative on whether they would rather be a pirate or a ninja. Students must write five paragraphs and use at least one vocab word in each paragraph. Students can choose from any vocab word in Units 1-3.

Fri 10/24/14
Students finished writing their narratives they began yesterday. Students then created a graphic representation on a separate sheet of white paper, depicting a visual of what occurred in their narrative. It is preferable that their visual is colored.
