Week 04/01/14 - 04/04/14
Tues 04/01/14
Students discussed commas and their uses, and watched a Flocabulary on commas. Students worked in groups to form sentences exemplifying each rule. Students then came up to the board and wrote the sentence they created on the board minus the comma(s). Different students then came up and used comma magnets to correct the sentences, citing which rule was being presented.

Students reviewed commas and apostrophes by creating sentences based on their 7th grade experiences. Students were to compose four sentences using apostrophes (one for each use), and two sentences using commas (their choice.) Students then began making a poster displaying their sentences using macaroni noodles as the commas and apostrophes.
