Students continued their study on advertisements. Students viewed a selection of commercials and discussed as a class the following questions:
- What is the commerical advertising?
- Is there music? How does the music add to the commerical?
- Are there any "symbols" in the commercial?
- On what channel would you find this ad? During what TV show?
Tues 01/28/14
Students began creating their own advertisement for an invented shoe. Students were required to use persuasive advertising techniques on their poster. They must also illustrate their poster.
Requirements:
· Picture of the shoe in color
· Brand name
· Price
· Place you can buy the shoe
· Celebrity endorsement
· A descriptive paragraph in the ad. 5 sentences minimum, must have at least:
1 Simple
1 Compound
1 Complex
